After a very enjoyable lunch today, it was time to hit the trail... the hiking trail between Monte Rosso and Vernazza lazily twists and turns through the hillside vineyards and along rocky ocean cliffs, eventually depositing you smack dab in the middle of Vernazza, in front of a very convenient gellateria. The views along the trail are amazing, and you definitely come away with a sense of the long history held in these hills. From actual pirate coves, to violent rivalries between the villages, this place has many stories to tell.

I had the best dinner of the trip so far at the restaurant under the Castle at Vernazza. Here's the view from my outdoor table as I sipped Campari & Soda. (Don't forget to check the bonus directory from time to time...!)
