Footbridge near Porto Genova (day 15)

19-April-2002 (Friday): Yesterday was certainly an interesting day. Most people I spoke with felt sure the plane crash was the result of terrorism, but all news accounts seem to indicate the likely cause was accidental. In any event, it was a tragedy, and brought any number of emotional responses to the surface for many people.

Today, Michael's new house-mate, Salvatore, hosted a party to celebrate his graduation to PhD status. I'm getting too old to stay out late in noisy bars, but it was good fun nonetheless. Above is a colorful footbridge near the Porto Genova metro station. (click on it for a different view)
